Opinion & Essay
Rigorous, well-argued first-person pieces from practitioners, academics, and policymakers. We welcome contrarian views.
Submission guidelines
Word count
Features: 800–1,500 words. Opinion: 600–1,000 words. News analysis: 400–700 words.
Original content
We only accept work that hasn't been published elsewhere, including on personal blogs or LinkedIn.
Sources
All factual claims must be sourced. Link to primary sources — studies, press releases, official data — not other aggregators.
Conflicts
Disclose any financial or professional relationship with subjects you write about. We do not publish undisclosed promotional content.
Images
If you have high-resolution images (min 2000px wide), send them. Include caption, photographer credit, and permission status.
Response time
We aim to respond to pitches within 7 working days. If you haven't heard from us after 10 days, the pitch wasn't a fit.
