India Design ID 2026: Craft Meets Technology in Delhi — 280 Exhibitors, Record 42,000 Visitors

India Design ID's 12th edition in New Delhi drew 42,000 visitors — a 28% attendance increase on 2025 — with the 'Bharat Making' theme celebrating the intersection of traditional Indian craft and digital fabrication. 280 exhibitors presented across categories including sustainable textiles, architectural hardware, lighting, and kitchen and bath.

Co-founder Rajshree Pathy said the theme 'responds to a generation of Indian designers who are simultaneously trained in global digital tools and deeply rooted in regional material traditions — they are creating a new vocabulary that is neither pastiche nor imitation but genuinely original.' The fair's sustainability prize was awarded to a Varanasi-based textile studio using natural dyes and handloom weaving.
